Ms. Wang Minyan Elected as the new CCIA President

The 1st session of the 8th CCIA (China Cleaning Industry Association) membership meeting was held in Zhuhai on the morning of November 22, 2018. Ms. Zheng Wuhong, the president of the 7th CCIA Council, presided over the meeting.

Mr. Zhang Chonghe, chairman of CNLIC, addressed the meeting, giving praises to the achievements made by the 7th CCIA Council led by president Zheng Wuhong, and presented his expectation and requirements of the 8th CCIA Council.

In the meeting, the 2018 CCIA membership situation was introduced, the 2018 work summary and 2019 work plan of Technical Committee of Standardization, and the 2018 soap product quality follow-up survey results were reported. The work report of the 7th CCIA council, the 2018 work summary and the 2019 work plan of CCIA committees, the financial report of 7th CCIA council, and the revision suggestions on CCIA Constitution, Specific Measures on the Collecting and Using of CCIA Membership Fee and Management Measures of CCIA Members were submitted for deliberation and approval. The 8th CCIA council members, standing members, president, deputy president and general secretary, the 8th session of the board of supervisors were elected. The suggestion for employing the honorary president, honorary council members and vice general secretary of the 8th Council was examined and approved.

The members voted to approve that Ms. Wang Minyan was elected as the president of the 8th CCIA council, 28 members including Mr. Chen Kaixuan were elected as the deputy presidents (including honorary deputy president), Mr. Zhang Huatao was elected as deputy president and general secretary. The meeting decided to employ Ms. Zheng Wuhong as honorary president and senior consultant of the 8th CCIA council. Mr. Bian Feng and Ms. Pan Hua were elected as vice general secretary of the 8th CCIA council.

Ms. Wang Minyan said in her inaugural speech, the new council was elected, signaling another new journey of cleaning industry in China. Commenting on her election as the new president, Wang Minyan said: “I am honored to take over the  important role and responsibilities as the new president. The new role requires me to fulfill the new mission given by our members in the new age with enterprise and grit and the spirit of keeping pace with the progress of times. The first step facing me was to adapt myself to the changing of my role, take the initiative to change my work responsibilities, the way of thinking and work style, and understand fully the industry situation to identify the future work focus and direction.” Wang Minyan also emphasized that CCIA would continue to focus on the efforts to contribute to the sustainable and healthy development of the industry and serve members well.
